Since 2009, Cube Works Studio has become world-renowned for their work re-contextualizing common objects like LEGO bricks to create impressive and entertaining works of art. Their one-of-a-kind portraits use a variety of creative processes to produce stunning visual art that can be appreciated and enjoyed by all – the possibilities for art are infinite.
Each brick in these portraits is an authentic LEGO brick from the iconic brand itself, custom-designed and mounted entirely by hand to LEGO baseplates for permanent display. The finished portrait is then mounted to a custom-built gallery-style frame before being carefully packed and sent to our client. The end result is a modern portrait which produces stunning clarity and detail from different perspectives all based on rich texture and depth while showcasing the versatility of the LEGO brick – one of the most popular toys on the planet for generations of kids.
